In the lush summer of June, all things thrive. On June 25, the Company held the intermediate handover ceremony for the Revamp Project for Wastewater Discharge and Reuse Rate to Meet New Standards, marking the project's transition into the production preparation phase and adding another powerful tool for the Company to safeguard clear waters and blue skies.

Acting President Lin Xu attended the intermediate handover ceremony and delivered a speech, with Peng Fucheng, Deputy General Manager of Sinopec Nanjing Engineering Co., Ltd. and Zuo Qiang, Deputy General Manager of Sinopec Ningbo Engineering Co., Ltd., also participating in the event.

Lin Xu expressed gratitude to all project participants for their efforts and extended warm congratulations on the successful intermediate handover.

Lin Xu pointed that the intermediate handover is a milestone, not the destination, as it signifies the shift from the construction phase to production preparation phase. He urged all parties involved to uphold the principle of "One Team, One Goal", continue demonstrating leadership and a difficulties-overcoming mindset, complete rectifying items on the punch list, ensure smooth trial run and maintenance support, and guarantee a successful startup at the very initial trial and safe, stable, long-term and optimal operations to further contribute green momentum to the Company's high-quality development.

Peng Fucheng stated that Sinopec Nanjing Engineering Co., Ltd. will uphold the philosophy of “Together as one family, aligned in purpose, driven by a shared mission”, proactively meet the owner's requirements, continuously strengthen management, ensure resources availability, and contribute its due share of efforts to the project's successful commissioning through high-quality services.

Zuo Qiang stated that Sinopec Ninbo Engineering Co., Ltd. will continue to carry forward its fine traditions, complete the remaining design tasks and commissioning and operation supporting tasks, and enhance coordination and collaboration by following higher standards and stricter requirements to foster synergy, ensuring the project can be put into use as soon as possible and deliver benefits at the earliest.

Representatives from Sinopec Nanjing Engineering Company Co., Ltd., Puyang Zhongyuan Petrochemical Engineering Construction Supervision Co., Ltd., and Sinopec Quality Supervision Center delivered the completion report, supervision opinions on intermediate handover, and intermediate handover supervision and inspection report, respectively, followed by the signing of the intermediate handover documents.

Relevant department heads of the Company and representatives of the project construction participants attended the ceremony.

The project commenced construction on May 15, 2024, spanning 14 months, despite tight schedules, heavy workloads, high standards and other adverse factors, the project teams worked in close collaboration, strengthened on-site safety management, implemented full-process quality control, continuously optimized construction schemes, and worked tirelessly day and night to ensure the safe, high-quality, efficient, and smooth progress of the project.

It is introduced that upon commissioning, the project will not only significantly enhance the wastewater reuse rate to meet the new standards but also markedly reduce pollutant discharge, with an estimated annual reduction of over 5M tons of discharged wastewater. （Zhang Lei, Zhang Yangren）
